Who We Are

At Gallorette, we understand the value of a dollar and to whom that dollar belongs.  Because many of our team come from a history of banking and financial management, we understand and appreciate the responsibility of working with other people's money.  It is a fiduciary responsibility we live by and is inherent in our day-to-day approach to business.

As we pride ourselves on excellence, our name was inspired by excellence in another arena.  Our name originated from one of history's leading female racehorses - Gallorette.  This legendary chestnut thoroughbred from Maryland set the stage for female racehorses by being the first to compete - and win - against males.  During her five years of racing - between 1944 and 1948 - she won or placed in 54 of her 72 starts against some of the best males of her time.  She competed against future Hall of Famers, U.S. Triple Crown champions, and beat the eventual Kentucky Derby winner, Hoop Jr.   By the end of her career, Gallorette acquired prestigious accolades such as being voted National Champion Female of 1946, was inducted into National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame, was voted by the American Trainers Association as the greatest filly in American racing history, and has a race named in her honor: The Gallorette Handicap.

Being a woman owned company ourselves, we recognize Gallorette's fearless efforts in pioneering the trail for future female racehorses.  At Gallorette Government Services, we aim to set a matching standard in the world of financial government services.
